The World Earth Day 2022: Invest in Our Planet

Climate change refers to the long term shifts in temperature and weather patterns over a long period of time.

Every year on April 22 the Earth day is celebrated to create awareness on environmental issues, this  awareness started on April 22 1970. The protest against environmental deterioration involved 20 million Americans protesting in the street, universities and cities.

The theme for the Earth day  2022 is" Invest in our Planet". Acting now together to live more sustainability is necessary to avoid the worst effects of climate change.

The African rainforest has slowed climate change. The tress in the African forests removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Google doodle has used the real time- lapse imagery and other sources to show the effect of climate change on the planet. 

• The first Images taken in December from 1986 to 2020 showing Mount Kilimanjaro. 
• The second is the glacier retreat in Greenland from 2000 to 2020.
• The third shows the Great Barrier Reef in Australia in 2016.
• The fourth Google doodle shows the Harz forest in Elend, Germany from 1995 to 2020.

The primary cause of this environmental crisis includes water pollution, oil spillage, forest fire, air pollution and the possible way out is to enlighten people on the negative impact of climate change and the way forward against the illness of the planet.
