On August 8, 2021, MTN celebrated 20 years of service in Nigeria, the Chief Executive Officer, MTN Nigeria, Karl Toriola, said: " Ours has been a classic case of together in progress, and we are thankful to all Nigerians for standing by us and helping us get to this milestone.

He expressed appreciation to his teeming subscribers; MTN Nigeria has announced that 20 customers will be given brand new Honda HRVs, free airtime and data to all customers.
MTN Foundation Scholarship provides financial aid to students in any Nigerian University, Polytechnic or College of Education.
The scholarship is divided into 3 sub- categories:
1. MTN Science and Technology scholarship.
2. MTN Scholarship for Blind Students.
3. Top 10 UTME scholarship.
The scholarship is worth N 200,000 annually till graduation, the deadline for the registration is on August 15, 2021.
